Mom Blog Highlight: Ana Braga-Henebry’s Journal

Blog: Ana Braga-Henebry’s Journal

What It’s About: Life and Learning

What’s Unique: Ana’s childhood years were spent in Rio de Janeiro. She has an undergraduate art degree and a masters in Humanities/Aesthetic Studies. She wrote her thesis about the poetry of a prolific Brazilian Benedictine monk, which included translating a hefty selection of his work. This mama’s S-M-A-R-T!

Ana’s husband (a university research scientistand professor)  and their seven children are world travelers- and there’s never a dull moment in this household! Today they are experimenting with acreage life, collecting fresh eggs daily, and attempting to care for vegetable, herb and corn and potatoes gardens in South Dakota.

Ana reviewed children’s and parenting materials for Parent Council, LTD. from 1994 until 2002. She has enjoyed reviewing for Love2Learn, the premier Catholic Resources reviews site, since March 2006. Ana has written a monthly feature for Faith & Family Live and has also been on the editorial board of Mater & Magistra, the only national Catholic homeschool periodical, writing both feature articles and book reviews, since its inception. Ana is also the author of the workbooks for the Catholic Textbook Project.

Her blog is a wonderful peek into the family’s intellectually stimulating and beautiful life. On it she posts pictures, recipes, and occasional favorite books or opinions on contemporary issues. Join her!
